PJSC Mosenergosbyt is the leading energy sales company in Moscow and the Moscow region. Mosenergosbyt provides electricity to the population, large industrial and socially significant facilities, transport and agricultural enterprises, while constantly connecting new consumers to electrical networks.
Unfortunately, not all electricity consumers in Moscow have meters installed with remote transmission of readings. Most of the readings are taken by inspectors and consumers themselves. To avoid incorrect payments for consumed electricity, Mosenergosbyt asks the population to submit meter readings on a monthly basis. For the convenience of the population, various options for entering monthly readings and payment methods have been developed. How to submit readings:
On the main page of the official website of Mosenergosbyt, in the same block with the company logo, there is a section “How to transmit readings?”
The information presented here is relevant for subscribers whose electricity meters are not connected to the remote reading system.
This section indicates that every month from the 15th to the 26th you can transmit meter readings in one of the following ways, namely:
- Through the client’s personal account, where a simple form for taking electricity meter readings is filled out. This is the most convenient way to transfer readings directly to the Mosenergosbyt database, regardless of the day of the week or time of day.
- On the public services portal of the city of Moscow. You must be registered on the specified resource. The portal provides the opportunity to transmit electricity meter readings, collect archived data and review previously transmitted readings, check the date and relevance of verification of electricity meters, find out the personal account balance and pay the debt.
- Through the contact center by phone
- By visiting Mosenergosbyt client offices in person. In this case, the readings are reported to the operator or personally using a special self-service terminal.
- Using the interactive voice menu of the Mosenergosbyt contact center. After calling the specified number, listening to the greeting and the question “What do you want to know?”, you must say the key words “testimony” or “transmit testimony” and then follow the instructions of the automated system.
- Through payment terminals (QIWI, Sberbank and others) or by visiting a multifunctional center (MFC).
The period for transmitting readings for consumers in Korolev is from the 15th to the 23rd of each month.
Submit readings through your Mosenergosbyt personal account
The easiest way to transmit readings is the official website of the energy sales company. At any time you can go to your page, submit readings and pay for electricity.
Algorithm of actions:
- On the main page of the Mosenergosbyt portal, in the “Individuals” section, you need to go to the “How to submit readings” page. Icons will appear in front of you depicting different options for transmitting information.
- We select the first one - “Mosenergosbyt Personal Account”. Click on the window, you will see information asking you to log into your account if you are registered. New customers will be asked to register. To register, you must fill out the form, indicating: your phone number, email address, user’s full name; indicate gender and date of birth, create a password. A code will be sent to your phone number, which must be entered to confirm registration.
- Now you can transmit meter readings by clicking on the appropriate button. If you are transmitting readings from the 15th to the 26th, enter the numbers indicated on the meter display in the free field. Here you will see your previous readings. On other days of the month, a notification will be displayed with the impossibility of transmitting readings.
Time to put the electric meter into operation
It's all about the amendments made to the Rules for the Provision of Public Utilities. According to them, it is the consumer who is required to contact utility service representatives to indicate the date and time the electric meter will be put into operation. The responsibilities of the contractor include: reviewing such an offer and, if a problem arises with time, then he can send a counter offer to the customer indicating a different date. Moreover, the review should not take more than 3 days, and the new date should not deviate from the date specified by the customer by more than 15 days.
If the contractor does not appear within the time period specified in the application or cannot complete his work in more than 15 days, then it is considered that the device is still put into operation.
Moreover, the start date of its accounting is considered to be the date on which the customer sent the order to the contractor. It is from this day that his readings are taken into account in order to determine how much of a given utility service was consumed. If the charging of fees from the performing side continues in accordance with consumption standards, then the customer can write a well-founded complaint to the state housing inspectorate.
Submit testimony through the Moscow government services portal
Indications for consumed electricity and water can be submitted to the unified portal mos.ru in the “Services” section. You must first register on the portal. To transmit electricity readings, perform the following steps:
- We go to the section “Housing, Housing Utilities, Yard”.
- Select the column “Taking readings and paying for electricity.”
- In the free fields, enter the counter number and personal account.
- We enter the readings.
On the government services website you can find out the balance of personal accounts.
How electricity meter readings are taken from electronic devices
Electronic counter models are equipped not with mechanical disks with numbers, but with an electronic display. In addition to the consumed kilowatts, it can also display other data, for example, device operating time, date, etc. Most often, the change of indicators is carried out several times per minute. If the device keeps track of zones, it displays data for each of them in turn.
How to take readings from electricity meters day and night (two options):
- Wait until the display displays the necessary information.
- Receive data by pressing the "Enter" button. Sometimes you need to do this several times to get the information you need. The numerical values on the scoreboard are marked with certain marks to make them easier to distinguish: T1, T3, T2, T4, TOTAL.
When the data is received, it is entered into the receipt and calculations are performed according to the scheme described earlier, or transferred to the appropriate authority. In electronic devices, numbers after the decimal point are also not taken into account.

How to take Mercury 200 electricity meter readings
Mercury meters are presented on the market in single-tariff and multi-tariff models. Devices with one tariff are marked as follows - 200.00; multi-tariff models have digital values after the dot, for example, 200.01, 200.03 or 200.02. Among them there are electric meters with a control panel and a different number of zones.
Note! Regardless of modification, readings from instruments are taken according to a single scheme. The only difference is the number of times you press the Enter button.
Mercury 200 electricity meters display the following data in turn:
- time;
- date of;
- tariffs by zones.
The first display is the time in the normal tariff zone. Seconds, minutes and hours are displayed above. After a few seconds, the data is replaced by a date in standard form: day, month and year.
After this, additional tariffs are displayed on the display. The marking is shown in the upper left corner. Each of the available tariffs is displayed in turn. At this time, you can rewrite numerical data in kilowatts without numbers after the decimal point.
Electricity meter Mercury 200
Depending on the settings of the device, the numerical readings on the meter display change every 5-10 seconds. This time is enough to rewrite the data. If this fails, you can switch tariffs manually using the “Enter” button. For calculations, you will need to calculate the amount of electricity consumed (kW) for each zone, multiply by the corresponding tariff, and sum the results together.
How to take Mercury 230 electricity meter readings
The Mercury 230 metering device belongs to the category of three-phase meters. Electricity is calculated according to several tariffs. The device displays credentials corresponding to a specific tariff.
Note! The three-phase electric meter is designed in such a way that 4 digits are displayed on its display. If 2 of these numbers are marked T2 or T1, then the device operates according to a multi-tariff payment system.
Tariff zoning:
- T2 marking indicates the night zone;
- the T1 value indicates that there is a peak zone on the screen;
- To designate the half-peak zone, the T3 marking is used.
Electricity meter Mercury 230
Therefore, before taking readings from three-phase electricity meters and starting calculations, it is necessary to take into account all the indicators:
- tariff pictograms with zone markings;
- digital value displaying the amount of electricity consumed;
- phase pictograms.
The three-tariff electricity meter has one feature. To achieve correct calculations, you need readings for all tariffs for the previous month and data at the time of calculation. By finding out the difference between these values, you can get the amount of energy consumed for each tariff for the last month. All that remains is to find out the payment for each zone, taking into account the corresponding tariffication for it and summarize the obtained values.
How to take readings from electronic electricity meters Energomera
Energomer electricity meters come in various modifications. There are multi-tariff devices. Calculations for them are made in a similar way as described earlier.
Electronic electricity meter Energomera
The price of day-night meters is relatively low. Therefore, many apartment owners install just such metering devices in their homes. The difference between such devices lies in the design features. Depending on what modification of the counter is installed, the number of buttons changes. And the button intended for viewing digital data has a different name - “PRSM”.
There can be several buttons themselves, usually 2 or 3. When you click on the display, data for each tariff zone is displayed. Otherwise, there are no serious differences, so it no longer matters whether the apartment owner prefers to buy a three-phase electricity meter or wants to install a day-night device.
Note! Electric meters Neva, Energomera and Mercury 230, 234, 201, 200 belong to the devices of the modern generation. The new models have a similar device, so the readings are taken in the same way.
In many ways, the new type devices are superior to the old models. However, their main disadvantage is the cost. The price of day-night electricity meters and three-phase devices is much higher. The same applies to multi-tariff devices divided into several zones.
Electricity meter Energomera with remote control
Of course, you can buy a single-phase electricity meter, which will be cheaper. The high cost of multi-tariff metering devices is due to their wider functionality, which allows you to save on electricity bills by distinguishing tariffs by zones.
Indications by phone Mosenergosbyt
To transmit electricity readings, you can use the contact phone number +7 (499) 550-9-550 Mosenergosbyt JSC together with MosOblEIRTS LLC have created an automated system for receiving readings. This service allows you to contact operators even during busy times. The IVR system identifies customers by phone number.
How it works:
- Dial the phone number.
- After the phrase “What interests you?” say "Indications".
- You do what the operator’s automatic voice tells you: say your personal account number and readings, pronounce each number separately.
- The system recognizes the caller and proceeds to confirm your home address.
Transmission of testimony in person when visiting client offices
In Moscow and the Moscow region, in each district there are client offices that you can visit and transfer meter data. To find out the addresses, you need to click the “Client Offices” icon in the “Private Individuals” section on the “How to transfer testimony” page. From the proposed list of branches, you must select an office that is close to your home. You can find out the work schedule, phone numbers, find out the address and how to get there by metro. The map diagram will help you quickly navigate and find the territorial office.
Requirements for metering devices
The choice of device should be approached responsibly. It is necessary to select the type of device that is in the list of the state register of measuring instruments. In this case, the electricity meter must be approved by the federal executive body for technical regulation and metrology.
PU must meet the operating conditions at the installation site. Have an error of no more than 2%. The owner must decide what power will be installed in the premises.
Select an electric meter by type of design:
- Mechanical single-phase. These devices are not currently produced, but you can still find them in the retail chain. You should avoid purchasing such devices. They are morally outdated.
- Electronic devices. Compact, inexpensive PU. Meet all necessary requirements. Accuracy class 1-0.5%. Both single-phase and three-phase options are available. They have the ability to transmit data over communication lines or via the Internet. They can be single-tariff or multi-tariff.
The owner chooses which electric meter to purchase. But it should be taken into account that the equipment must be connected to the network by an electrician from a specialized organization that has certificates for performing similar work. If the owner makes the connection himself, he will be fined for illegal connection.
But, before calling a specialist to register the meter, it is necessary to inspect the input panel and machines. Bring equipment into compliance with standards. If the connection is made at a summer cottage, it is recommended to purchase a ready-made mounted panel. This will save the owner from unnecessary expenses.
Transfer readings through the terminals of PJSC Mosenergosbyt and MFC
Terminals have been installed in government centers and offices for the convenience of the population. You can enter electricity meter readings, find out tariffs, call an inspector or electrician to replace or repair the meter. There are about 150 self-service terminals installed throughout Moscow.
open from 8.00 to 20.00, including weekends, no lunch breaks or maintenance.
In the self-service terminal, you need to select your category: “Private clients” or “Legal entities”, and then follow the prompts.
Electricity meter readings: how to get data from the device
Electricity consumers are required to pay in full for consumed electricity. To do this, they must transfer the electricity meter readings to the appropriate authority or perform an independent calculation of energy consumption.
Data on consumed energy must be transferred to the energy sales service
How to take readings from induction type electricity meters
Induction-type devices are equipped with a rotating wheel located under a frame with numbers. This data is necessary to perform calculations and transmit readings. The type of electricity meter readings that need to be transmitted depends on the device model and the number of digital values.
Most often, the induction type meter display displays from 5 to 7 digits. The last digit is distinguished from the total number by a difference in size, color, or decimal point. In rare cases, the last two numbers may be highlighted.
When taking readings from the electricity meter, the numerical values after the decimal point are not taken into account. These data display hundredths and tenths of a kilowatt, so they are not taken into account.
Note! There are modifications of devices where there is no comma or other type of highlighting. In such a situation, all the numerical values displayed on the scoreboard are taken to carry out calculations, otherwise there will be discrepancies in payment, which will still have to be covered.

How to take electricity meter readings correctly
After installing or replacing an electric meter in a private house or apartment, the owner is issued a certificate confirming the correct implementation of this procedure. The document records the initial digital values. To obtain data from the unit, you need to transfer onto paper all the numbers displayed by the device at the moment, not taking into account the numbers after the decimal point. Also, zeros preceding the first significant number are not taken into account, i.e. 1 or more.
To carry out calculations, you will need data for the previous month. In the first month after installation of the equipment, these figures are taken from the report. Next, you will have to keep a logbook or save all receipts in order to record the indicators.
Some subscription services relieve electricity consumers from having to make their own payments. It is only required to transmit data in a timely manner for a certain period of time. This became possible thanks to an automated system, which itself or through an operator enters data into the personal account, calculates charges and generates a receipt. In this case, the consumer will only have to make payment based on the invoice.
In addition to data on energy used, electronic meters can show other information
How to calculate payment based on electricity meter readings
You can calculate the amount to pay your electricity bills yourself. To do this, you need to subtract the latest data from the previous readings. The result is the amount of electrical energy consumed over the last period of time. All that remains is to multiply it by the current tariff.
For example, if the meter displays a numerical value of 5204 kW, and the previous figure was 4954 kW, the calculations will be as follows: 5204 – 4954 = 250 kW (electricity consumption).
Note! Sometimes the counters are automatically reset. A special calculation system is provided especially for such cases.
When the counters are reset, the readings are rewritten taking into account all zeros, and a “1” is placed at the beginning of the number. However, the values after the decimal point do not need to be taken into account. For example, if the meter displays 00001.7 kW, you need to rewrite this value as 100001. The previous readings are subtracted from this indicator, and the result is multiplied by the tariff. This calculation method is used once, after which readings are taken according to the usual system - without leading zeros and an additional “1”.
When reading data from the meter, the last one or two digits are not taken into account
