Measure of change in a periodic variable

B amplitude

A periodic variable is a measure of its change in one period (Such as time or a spatial period). There are various definitions of amplitude (see below), which are all functions of the magnitude of the differences between variables' extreme values. In older texts, the phase of the period function is sometimes called amplitude.[1]
