The device, manufactured by the Russian company Energomera, measures the active part of the consumed current connected to the load of the serviced electrical network. Energomer TsE6803v meters keep track of electricity consumption at only one tariff. This excludes their use when supplying electricity at different prices during the day and at night.

The principle of operation of the TsE 6803 is no different from similar devices. The electric meter has its own design features.
In the control unit, the voltage and incoming current data are sublimated into pulses. The pulse frequency is directly proportional to the power of the incoming energy flow. Possible malfunctions and their elimination
Malfunctions of the device during its operation may be minor. This, for example, stops the light indication while the meter is running.
The malfunction may be caused by a loose connection of the terminal contacts. The electricity meter is turned off and the contact connections are strengthened. The device is turned on again and the light indication is checked. If the indicators do not light up, the meter will need to be returned to the appropriate service department.
If the metering device fails, under no circumstances should you open the meter and try to repair it yourself. If this happens, the consumer may face serious liability problems for violating the sealing of the electric meter and be subject to significant penalties.
How to take readings
First you need to know the capacity of the device. Old-style TsE6803 meters (production period from 1997 to 1999) with a calibration interval of 8 years have 7 digits on the display (windows with numbers). Later models are equipped with 8-digit displays, so their verification interval is twice as long - 16 years.
The last digit is separated by a comma from the remaining digits. It is not taken into account when taking readings. Meter readings are taken, as a rule, once a month, recording the data in a notebook. Knowing the tariff, the monthly payment for electricity is calculated. To do this, the amount of kilowatt hours is multiplied by a unit price (tariff). Paid receipts are kept indefinitely.

How to take readings
For example, if the device model has a comma and the last right digit is separated by a red line, then you need to specify the number before this line.
If there is no comma and the last number is not framed or colored in one color, then you must enter all the numbers from the counter screen. Simply put, if there is no comma at all, then you need to write all the numbers that are on the screen.
The service life of such a device is more than 20 years. But at the same time, it is advisable to run it with a multimeter from time to time to check for errors. Sometimes, if many powerful devices are connected to the network, the meter will not cope and give incorrect readings.
